Written by Mona Khazindar, former Director of The Arab World Institute of Paris (2011-2014) and appointed member of the Saudi Cultural Authority. She has devoted her life to the art and culture of the Arab world. A book about Historical and Contemporary Representations of Arabia. The perceptions of the Arab World by foreigners, told in the context of a thematic approach to Arabia, thoroughly researched by Mona Khazindar.
For me it’s about a basic fascination with this part of the world, fed by a curious mind and a willingness to absorb and learn. Retelling and sharing my discoveries in my very own language on canvas.
Opening of In.Flux
I welcome you to the opening of my new solo exhibition, In.Flux, on Wednesday, May 4th at 8:30 pm at the Naila Art Gallery in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. In.Flux is a series of contemporary artworks on the ever changing Saudi landscape. Click here to read my artist statement on the series. The exhibition will run from May 4th to May 19th, 2016.
