In order to grow further as an abstract painter, it is sometimes necessary to go back to a bit of realism. This series, created in the summer months of 2010, perfectly exemplifies this. It is all about making new discoveries within the known. Indulging in massive use of color, traveling south, celebrating life, easy living, freedom, island feel; it is Caroline’s very personal perception of summer. Everything you can expect around a summer’s solstice. It is a ‘Taste of Summer’ from the moment you enter the studio. These paintings are mounted on wood and framed.
“On early morning runs in Petrin Park while living in Prague, these big hares crossed my path repeatedly. They sparked my interest. I always wanted to paint them, and this was the right time.”
