Birds 2007
Caroline’s fascination with birds is evidenced in this series as it pays tribute a.o. to the common sparrow (ode aan de mus). The way the birds adapt to life in the city is inspiring. The paintings show playful combinations of abstract and realistic forms, it is a pursuit of applying old and new approaches and seeing how compatible they are.
